MAET News
January - 2016
Greetings Team MAET -
Happy New Year!
2016 is going to be a fantastic year.
We’d like to welcome you to a new semester and a new year.
Spartan’s football ended the season with a 12-2 record and that’s quite an accomplishment. It was just one year ago (see recaps in the video below) that the Spartans won the Cotton Bowl.
I’m sure I’m about to jinx our weather by stating that we’re having a mild winter here in East Lansing, there was no white Christmas for us, but the roads were nice and dry for safe travels that weekend. We hope you had a peaceful holiday season. Be sure to check out the video from The Mishra family at the end of this newsletter.
We love meeting you face-to-face!
It was wonderful to have in-person MAET students and alumna on campus recently.
- Matthew Shaw, Associate University Registrar at Stanford University completed the MAET program, Fall, 2015, and came to campus to attend graduation.
- Gitane Reveille, graduated from the MAET program in 2014 and is currently a Technology Integration Coach at American Embassy School, New Delhi, India.
Thank you for stopping by and saying hello!

HYBRID SUMMER COHORT
Each summer we welcome two cohorts of educators to the beautiful College of Education at Michigan State University for two weeks of extraordinary face-to-face learning. After these two on-campus weeks, students return home to complete four more weeks of learning with their cohorts online. At the end of the summer, all students return to campus for one day to present their best work, and to share in celebrations of their successes. We call this a hybrid cohort program because it blends face-to-face and online learning experiences. The cohort model allows students to forge strong professional connections to a group of colleagues who are working through a common set of courses together.
2016 Dates
On Campus at MSU: Monday, June 20 through Friday, July 1 (Weekends Excluded)
Online: Saturday, July 2 through Thursday, July 28.
Back for Final Celebration Day at MSU: Friday, July 29.
