Insight Testing

Insight is a group-administered test of cognitive abilities, which will be administered to all grade 5 and 8 classes November 15th-November 24th. The assessment is designed to measure cognitive abilities including reasoning, comprehension, memory, and visual and auditory processing. Students do not need to study for this type of assessment, and the results are not used to evaluate their school achievement. The results provide information to help teachers recognize student strengths and plan for additional supports as needed.

If you would like to learn more about this assessment tool, please visit http://www.canadiantestcentre.com and select the Insight tab near the top of the page. While there you may also want to look into the CAT-4 academic assessment tool, which will be used to measure overall academic ability of Grade 4 and 7 students in the spring.

Please contact Yasmin Akhtar (CRC) if you have any questions, I'd be very happy to connect with you!

GRACE (Grateful Advocates for Catholic Education)

Stories have the power to move hearts, share insights, inspire

change and build empathy. In our grateful effort to celebrate

and advocate for Catholic Education, GrACE recognizes the

importance of seeking and telling the powerful stories of

Catholic schools.

By sharing our stories:

† we start to recognize the sacramental “God moments”

happening all around us.

† we build up the community of Catholic schools with

common lived experience.

† we create the opportunity for others to understand more

deeply what Catholic education is all about.
