Family Edition February 17, 2023
A Message from the Principal
February has had a great start. This week we had our first Sweetheart Dance. It was highly attended and parents and students shared laughs and smiles. We also celebrated Valentine's Day with treats and had a week of dressing up for kindness. It has been a great week to be an EAGLE!
The book fair was a success. Thank you for supporting the book fair. This important event puts books in your child's hand and provides funds to support the school library.
Mr. Rose and I are visiting classrooms and seeing innovative lessons, students working together, and great effort. Please continue to stress the importance of education to your children.
Decatur Proud,
Mrs. Pearson, Principal

Decatur Township Culture Guide
E= Events: We cannot control things that happen
R= Response: We can control our response to the event
O=Outcome: Having a proper response will get the desired outcome.
This concept is powerful for all of us. Daily, many things happen that are out of our control. We can lash out or we can pause, think, and then respond. Pausing for reflection allows us to get the outcome that we need and want.
