Scholarships
Coca-Cola Scholars
Each year, the Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation awards 150 college scholarships worth $20,000 to high school students across the United States through the Coca-Cola Scholars Program.
Students need a 3.0 GPA and to fill out an online application that requires no essays, no recommendations, and no transcripts by October 31, 2020, at 5 p.m. Eastern.
The 2020-21 application is open to high school seniors until 5 p.m. Eastern on October 31, 2020.

Hagan Scholarship
The Hagan Scholarship is a Nationwide Merit scholarship. It is a need based merit scholarship. ( You must have financial need based on your FAFSA, you must meet the 3.75 or higher GPA, and you must be in the top 20% of your class requirements. )
500 scholarships will be awarded!

A senior Graduating from a Public Rural Area High School
Ranked in the top 20 % of your class
FAFSA EFC ( Estimated Family Contribution) have a $6500.00 or less
Must be US Citizen

University of Dayton Art Scholarship
Students are invited to apply for an Art Scholarship at the University of Dayton. These scholarships are competitive and worth up to $10,000 over four years. Incoming first-year, full-time students who enroll in a four-year program in Art and Design, Music or Theatre, Dance and Performance Technology are eligible to apply.
The deadline to apply for an Arts scholarship is Sunday, November 1, 2020.

Students who are interested in Music will receive an email from UD with instructions on how to request a nomination for a Leadership in Music scholarship.

Early action deadline for admission is also November 1; students can apply for free at udayton.edu/apply.
The scholarship is only for admitted students who begin their studies full-time at Illinois Tech in the fall 2021. The $25,000 scholarship is renewable annually for four years (five for architecture) as long as they maintain continuous full-time enrollment. Eligible students may also qualify for additional need-based aid by completing the FAFSA.

Essay Contest
The John F. Kennedy Profile in Courage Essay Contest for High School Students is officially open! By submitting an original essay describing a leader who demonstrated political courage as described by President Kennedy in his book, Profiles in Courage, students can win one of 15 scholarship awards for college — including a $10,000 first-place prize.

Junior Opportunity
Semper Fidelis All-American Program is presented by the United States Marine Corps.
This honorary high school program recognizes high school juniors from across the country who have shown the ability to win battles, overcome obstacles, and fight to make their communities a better place.
Students will be chosen based on moral character and academic performance in addition to athletic abilities.
Students can apply HERE.
Selected students and a mentor will receive an all-expenses paid trip to the Battles Won Academy next July in Washington, D.C. and honored as a Semper Fidelis All-American.
VA Tech Agricultural Program Open House
A virtual Agricultural Technology Program open house event that will take place on Saturday, October 24 beginning at 10 a.m. Registration is open: register here. Here is a link to the flyer for additional details.
Students in the Agricultural Technology program have two great options and several emphasis areas to choose from including: Landscape and Turfgrass Management - golf and sports turf management or landscape design, installation, and management OR Applied Agricultural Management - livestock production, crop production, or agribusiness

Taking classes at Germanna Community College Spring 2021
Interested in Independent Dual Enrollment at Germanna? Spring Registration Germanna Courses opens this October. Here are the steps:
· Meet with a Career Coach each semester to enroll–
discuss requirements, submit documents, discuss academic progress and educational
goals
· Complete Student Permission to Enroll form with required approval
signature of high school counselor or home school principal
· Discuss college/work/school/life balance challenges and strategies
· Pay regular tuition rate. Students are not eligible for financial aid until
after high school graduation
