"Can't Touch Us!"
From the Desk of Mrs. Eske,
Welcome to Fourth Grade, Jaguars!!!!! It is my pleasure and honor to be your teacher this school year. I can't wait to share success with you throughout the year, recognize your hard work, and take this opportunity to provide a learning environment for you that is, according to our SPS Mission; engaging, relevant, and personal-each and every day-for each and every learner!!! In addition to our District's Mission, we also have a NEW Jeffries Mission!! Please see below!!
Jeffries Mission/Vision: (We are still in the process of learning this Mission Statement, so I have included the Mission Statement below, for a little extra practice, if needed:) Many of the students have been helping me out with it already, since I sometimes still try to say our old one, by accident! :)
As a Jeffries Jaguar,
I will be safe, respectful, and responsible
by using the 7 Habits, so we can
Learn, Live, and Lead together!
And who could forget our Classroom Theme!!! This year, we have a cactus theme!!! Our motto, used as our motivating and positive message, is...Can't Touch US!!!! :) We work as a team to help each other, not hurt each other, encourage each other, strive for excellence, and we want to set the expectations for achieving success in academic areas as well as reaching behavioral goals. We our LEADERS and follow the 7 Habits for SUCCESS!!!
With your child's best interest and heart in mind,
Meet the Teacher
Our Meet the Teacher turnout was AWESOME!!! Thank you so much for attending, if you had the opportunity to do so!! I really enjoyed having the opportunity to be introduced to your family and have you visit our classroom! This turnout was one of the highest that I have had since I have been a teacher at Jeffries!!! I truly am so thankful for your support!
We are "IGNiTED" yet again, at Jeffries. On Aug. 21st, your child should have received their Chromebook, carrying case, and charger! Thank you for your support when encourging those devices come to school fully charged each day! We spend such a large amount of time using them, that this really is essential to provide for a successful learning day. Thank you! Also, a handout was sent home explaining the optional device damage waiver, device care, and Internet connectivity. Please let me know if you have questions.
