Gabrielle Christina Victoria "Gabby" Douglas is an African American artistic gymnast. Gabby Douglas was born on December 31, 1995 (age 20). She was a member of the U.S. Women's Gymnastics team, and she has made many accomplishments.

Gabby Douglas Accomplishments

Gabby Douglas is best known as the first African American to win the individual all-around event. She also won a team gold medal for the U.S. at the 2012 Summer Olympics. Gabby Douglas began formal gymnastics training at 6 years old and won a state championship by the time she was 8. Gabby Douglas became the first African American to win gold in the individual all-around event. Gabby Douglas had taught herself how to do a one handed cartwheel at the age of 4. Gabby Douglas is also known as the "flying squirrel" for her amazing stunts at competitions.
