Playground Improvement Project
Support the NCCS Playground Improvement Project by purchasing a brick!
The NCCS Playground Improvement Project will provide school-aged children an engaging space for outdoor physical activity and learning opportunities. The major goals of this project include constructing a covered open area for rainy days, purchasing and installing updated climbing structures, areas for outdoor learning and gathering, and a renovation of the large wooden structure currently on the playground.
We are excited that a major donation has been given to this project to match up to $50,000 raised! It is our goal to have funds for this project construction during the summer of 2021. The bricks purchased will be included in a patio/walkway area of the playground improvement project.
Clicking on the link HERE will direct you to a website that will allow you to purchase a brick in support of this project. You select the brick style and wording, then that brick will be included in the playground area designated during installation next summer. Buy one for each of your children, design a family brick, promote your business, or as a memorial for a loved one. If you want to make a donation to this project, in addition to or above the price of a brick, please let us know.
There is a short video to describe how this fundraiser works, as well as a flyer below with details. Please use the online link to place an order. Thank you for your support!

YOU ARE INVITED: Virtual Q & A Session

Additional Staffing Updates
As was noted in the previous newsletter, we have two openings for elementary teaching positions. The committee that reviewed and interviewed the applicants, is excited about who the Lord has brought to us for these positions. We anticipate in the coming week to have signed contracts for those positions and will share more details about those individuals at a later time.
Additionally, we are in search of two secondary teachers for this coming school year. Mrs. Keri Bures will not return as a science teacher, and Mrs. Holly Mee-Musillo will not return as an English teacher. We wish both individuals well in their future endeavors and thank them for their service to our students. We are confident the Lord will bring us other qualified Christian teachers to fill these positions and will keep our community informed as things develop.
Recently Mrs. Holli Plunkett announced she is expecting a baby boy in December. We are so excited for this little one to join the Plunkett and NCCS family. We will hire a long-term substitute (Jan-March) for Mrs. Plunkett, and we pray for the right fit for this temporary position for our 1st grade.
Finally, as was previously noted, we welcome new hire Carmen Moore as an administrator to support our students. Mrs. Moore's title is Dean of Students, which means she will work with all students and staff in K-12, in the areas of: master/class scheduling, MAP/SAT/AP, college/career guidance, CCC/GCU/Online courses, NHS, graduation & advancement, student support plans/services, international students, grade progress (monitoring, counseling, intervention), and curriculum & instruction leadership. She comes with many years of experience in Christian education as a teacher, Principal, and Dean, at all levels from elementary through college. Mrs. Moore will begin on July 1. Her email is carmen_moore@ncchristianschool.com, and her office will be next to Mr. Nelson's, off the conference room in the 200 Building.
