“Learning is not a spectator sport.” -D. Blocher
Team,
At the beginning of the year Kevin James delivered complete class sets of the Go Math and Science Fusion consumables to every campus. Based on grade level survey results, we are aware that not all of the books were used by the students this year. If you happen to have any unused consumable books, please give them to your team leader to turn into Coach Relle. He will then contact Kevin James to pick up these items. Any unused materials will be placed back in our inventory for future use. Thank you for working with us to be financially responsible with our resources.
While I know this has been addressed in the past, I want to send out a reminder that grade level and/or entire class consequences are not appropriate and should not be given. If there is something that you or your team is struggling with, please let me know and I would be happy to problem solve with you.
Wednesday is Miss Irma's birthday. We will present her the staff gift on morning announcements, but if you, your class, your team or your grade level would like to present her with a card, please feel free to do so.
As we continue to pray that Madeline remains cancer free, count your blessings and make today count!

Shoparoo
Did you know that each week I give out jeans passes to those who are one of the top three participants on Shoparoo? I know that many of you have already joined, but if you haven't, it is not too late. Simply go to www.shoparoo.com to create your account. If you use veft4467 as a referral code, McGowen will earn money for you just signing up. Please feel free to push this information out to your parents as well. Once you sign up, Shoparoo will give you a referral code for your parents to use when they sign up. Schools with just 40 supporters are earning an average of $1,000 every year.
Congratulations to Barbara Peebles and Jen McCartney for being in this week's top three!

- Develop an understanding and process for effective Professional Learning Communities.
- Engage in collaborative team planning and lesson design to promote higher level thinking and student engagement.
- Present lessons in such a way that students understand and can speak knowledgeably about posted learning and language targets.
