Fourth Grade News
The Week of April 24, 2017
Welcome back! We hope you all had a wonderful break!
Our Week Ahead:
Reading: Students will be taking our MCAS test for ELA. Mrs. Peterson's class will test Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Mrs. Hayes' class will test on Thursday, Friday, and the following Monday. Remember to get plenty of rest the night before your testing days!
Math: Students will continue to add, subtract, and compare fractions by creating like denominators using the least common multiple (LCM).
Science: Students will continue to learn about plant structure and reproduction. We are also experimenting with plant growth regarding sunlight, monitoring root and plant development, and planting our own seeds of various flowers.
Writing: Students will begin participating in our "Write Across America" program, in which we will write to/receive letters from fourth graders across the country!
Social Studies: We will begin practicing the states/capitals for our final region: The West!
