Next Step Open House on Oct 27

Yes, we still hope you will join us on Tuesday, October 27th between 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm for our fall NEXT STEP Open House! This is right after fall break, so put it on your calendar now.

Remember...this is your best chance to talk with the teachers your child will have NEXT year, or in two years, or high school. If you have a child in 8th grade or Pre-K this year, NEXT STEP also serves as your personal info event to learn about High School and Kindergarten at Traders Point. We are offering the same great information in each half-hour session, so join us when your winter parent sports meeting is done, or dinner is finished, or whenever, at 6:30, 7:00, 7:30 or 8:00 pm. Bring your students in grade 3 and up to check it out, too.

Family Portrait Fundraiser on October 30-31

The yearbook staff is happy to reinstate our annual fall fundraiser, in which we take family portraits for our TPCA staff and parent families here at TPCA. This event takes place on Friday, October 30 from 4-7 pm in the mods, and on Saturday, October 31 from 9am-1pm. Take advantage of the opportunity to update your family photo while supporting the TPCA Yearbook Staff. Donations are appreciated, not expected. Participating families will receive a CD with their 5-8 poses. The staff is hoping to raise enough money to purchase updated equipment for their class.

Substitute Teachers Needed!

Traders Point Christian Academy has an EXCELLENT team of substitute teachers, but we are always looking for more! We are especially in need of substitutes who would be willing to sub in our 6th-12th grade classrooms. We admit that we might be biased, but we think our students are pretty AWESOME and that you will love spending the day with them in the classroom. Our teachers leave behind detailed lesson plans and instructions for you to follow. You do not need to be content-area expert to substitute teach in areas such as Math, Science, and English, so don't let that intimidate you. Our teachers will leave you everything you need to have a successful day in the classroom in their absence.

If you would like to apply for a position as a substitute teacher, please fill out the substitute application HERE and return to Elisabeth Fischer: EFischer@tpcs.org.

Order Your Yearbook and Share Pictures with the Yearbook Staff!

TPCA's Golden Eagle Yearbook Staff is eager to get started with all matters of yearbook. With our school's verse being "You Belong," Romans 12:5b, we desire for everyone to "belong" to the contribution of the photos for this year's edition. Simply by creating an account with www.replayit.com, you can easily upload pictures that you take at school-events. Since the yearbook staff cannot be at all events or in all classrooms 24/7, you can fill the gap. Our staff will review submitted pictures, but please note that we could not possibly include ALL submitted photos. So, be selective in the ones you choose to upload. Pictures taken with digital cameras are better, as the resolution on many cell phones doesn't always allow us to resize the photo.

To make sure that you won't miss out on the great moments of the year, be sure to order your copy of the Golden Eagle Yearbook. The sooner you order, the better the pricing!

Ordering is easy with internet access and a credit card. Go to the following link: http://www.jostens.com.

Order by October 31, 2015, and the price is ONLY $25.

If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Danielle Tooley, adviser, by email at dtooley@tpcs.org.

Thank you!
