Boone Elementary

School Counselor Connection

Hello, Boone Bear Families,

Welcome to a brand new school year! We are so excited to see all of you! Our teachers have been working around the clock to set-up their virtual lessons and classrooms. Students will be engaged in rigorous learning with one another. As you may have already seen, students are going to begin each day connecting with their classmates and teacher through SEL lessons and morning meetings.

The librarian and I will begin our lessons next week. Mrs. Lightbourn will start with grades 3rd-5th and I will begin with grades PK3-2nd. You can find further information about our schedules and programs on each of our BLEND pages. I have already started coming around to all the classrooms to check-in individually with each student via Zoom. It's so nice to see familiar faces and meet new members of our Boone family.

I'm here to support all of our students and families. Please reach out if I can be of any assistance. We are in this together.

Austin Child Guidance Center

The Austin Child Guidance Center has multiple offerings for low-cost groups and free parent workshops this Fall. All of their groups and workshops will be done virtually. Froups are offered on a sliding fee scale based on family income and size and will run for 8 weeks. Parent workshops are free, with an option to donate, and are 1 to 1.5 hours. Below you will find some basic information about the groups. More workshops will be added later in the Fall and will be added to their website at that time.
