Life Biography
At a young age she learned about nature through her mother. Her mother was a teacher and a musician, she loved to be outdoors and study and learn about anything that had to do with nature.Rachel Carson was a marine biologist, but before she became was that she started making a presence when she was talking about fertilizers. She started off talking about bugs and fertilizers. Soon after she moved away from that and began to write books and study the ocean. She also helped preserve the world for generations like ours to live in. She was most popular for her books though on the sea and pesticides. She supported basically anything that had to do with helping the earth. Many people say that she was the "Child of Nature" because she loved to help out the earth.
Who or what did she advocate?
She spoke out for famous environmentalists, also famous activists and ideas that were going to help the world out. She wanted to improve the world as she knew it. In her time of life the industrial movement was happening as well as the world wars. She saw it all, she wanted to do something about so she spoke out against pollution. She helped the oceans out with her books. Most of her books were first class sellers and some were even commended by the president. She would speak out against people who weren't helping the earth out

What was she interested in?
She was mostly interested in writing about the things that were happening. If the book was about the sea you could almost guarantee that it was going to be about how islands were formed, how when the temperature changed the way animals reacted was different, and erosion impact. If she was talking about organic pesticides, she would speak out against the use of them because it could cause harm to humans with the way they were spreading. This is the reason why the book Silent Spring came out which was speaking out against the use of pesticides. She was interested in it because she wanted to keep the world and the people in it safe for future generations. She wanted to help people around the world understand things about the world.
The Importance
The impact that Rachel had on the world was incredible. There was never an activist such as her, she was one of the greatest environmentalist that we've ever had. She changed the views of so many people and was also a huge inspiration to people all over the world. She improved the way pesticides were made and what we know about the ocean. She released a whole lot information around the world and what tectonic plates can do and what they have done to the world as we know it. She is most popular for the variety of books she wrote about nature and the way things work around us.
