Daily Announcements
First Quarter Celebration - We will have our First Quarter Celebration on the day we return from Fall Break! To attend, you cannot have any Fs on your report card, no suspensions (in school or out of school), and less than four tardies. Kona ice will be here, and the concession stand will be open so make sure to bring cash (Not Debit Cards). We can’t wait to celebrate all of the amazing things you have accomplished this past quarter!
MJHS Football - Congratulations to our MJHS Football Team for winning the East Tennessee Conference Championship making us back-to-back conference champs. Our Junior High Rebels finish their season 9 - 0, Undefeated!
Maryville Youth Wrestling - Any 8th-grade student interested in wrestling should pick up an information sheet in the gym. There will be a 6th-8th Grade Parent Meeting on October 12th at 6:30 p.m. in the MJHS Cafeteria.
Supervised Study Hall
- Monday through Friday mornings, 7:30-8:10 am in Room 220
- Monday through Thursday afternoons, 3:20-4:20 pm in the Library

Student Illness
Students are limited to ten (10) excused days with parental notes for the year. Any absences, beyond those ten (10), without medical or legal documentation, will be unexcused.
We ask our families to keep sick children at home. If you are unsure or have questions regarding MCS procedures for student illnesses please contact our school nurse, Pam Myers.

In anticipation of an awesome new school year, we hope you will take time this summer to load the MCS APP on your phone. In addition to a host of quick reference tools, you will also be able to receive PUSH NOTIFICATIONS. You can set up the APP to push school-specific notifications. We recommend always keeping the DISTRICT selected as one of your options.

1. In the app store for your phone, search for MARYVILLE CITY SCHOOLS.
2. At the bottom of the screen, select MORE.
3. Click the word NOTIFICATIONS.
4. On the screen that says Stay in Touch, turn on Notifications.
5. In Notifications, use the settings wheel (top right) to select your school or schools. Always keep the District selected.
