Explore... Summer Fun
Engaging-Relevant-Personal
Have you thought about the personalized attention you can show each student as an Explore summer program teacher? In a regular classroom setting, you have more students than in a summer class which makes it difficult to focus on individual students. The Explore summer program is extremely beneficial because it allows you time to help individual students to strengthen their skills and develop in the areas they need the most help.
Did You Know.......?
Juneteenth, the oldest known celebration commemorating the ending of slavery in the United States is celebrated annually on June 19. It symbolizes for many African Americans what the Fourth of July symbolizes for all Americans. President Lincoln’s Emancipation Proclamation made official January 1, 1863, was not official in Texas until April 1865. The delay was caused by a minimal number of Union troops to enforce the new Executive Order.
Juneteenth serves as a reminder of the triumph of the human spirit over the cruelty of slavery. Juneteenth is a legal holiday that represents the joy of freedom and the chance for a new beginning.
