Royals News

April 9, 2021

I hope you all had a wonderful Easter celebration and Spring Break. We are heading into the final weeks of the school year. That does not mean we will be coasting to the finish line. The teachers and I expect the students to continue to strive to do their best to the very end. The curriculum and rigor will not change as there is still learning and preparation for the next school year to be done. Encourage your child(ren) to do their very best and to finish strong!!!

I realize that the WI Supreme Court overturned the mask mandate. However, as a school we have been successful with our plan and I would like to see that continue. Please continue to send your child(ren) with a mask for the remainder of the school year. Please encourage your child(ren) to continue to follow the mask-wearing expectations that have been in place since the beginning of the year. The goal is to get through the remainder of the year and plan for a return to school in the Fall with few restrictions. Thank you so much for your compliance and your help throughout this year. Your help has allowed us to stay in-person and successful this year.

With the weather changing, we are getting closer to shorts weather. The students were allowed to wear shorts on Tuesday & Wednesday this week and with that brought out some shorts that did not meet the school code. Please review the dress code policy in the handbook. I understand some girls have long legs and it is difficult to find shorts, however modesty is important (especially at the older grade levels). Teachers will be watching for short shorts and sending students to me with questionable length.

The next couple months are very busy. Please make sure you are reading any newsletters and emails you receive as pertinent information may be coming home.

Yearbooks Have Arrived!

I know that Mrs. Gibbon has sent an email to families regarding the issues with the yearbooks. For those that did not receive the email here is the information that was sent:

Dear Parents,

We received our yearbooks this week. They were handed out to teachers yesterday to hand out or put in Friday Folders. Some went home yesterday. After a few had been looked at we realized there were some that were damaged. Some of the pages were crinkled. After we realized this some teachers decided to hold on to their yearbooks until we get the reprinted ones.

The company is going to reprint our yearbooks because it was their error. So this is really important....if you child came home with their yearbook PLEASE look it over for damage. If it is damaged, please send it back on Monday. I will be emailing the company on Monday with our new numbers for what needs to be reprinted. Thank you for your help!

Again, don't worry if you haven't seen it. Most likely your child's teacher probably is waiting to send them all home together. The teachers are checking the books they received for damage.

Thank you for your help and patience.
