Saving World Resources

The world needs our help!

What's happening?

Welcome! In this website you will find ways to conserve the world's resources. The world needs our help! It's resources are slowly disappearing. Animals and plants are becoming extinct! This is becoming a problem!!

The 3 R's ( Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) are very important. Reduce means you just got something! It's time to give it a use. After a while, you probably might be done with this thing. What do we do now? Throw it away? Well of course not. Now we'll give it a new purpose. Change it a bit and turn it into something else. This is when you reuse something. Then sooner or later you will be done with it again. At this point you could try to recycle! Put parts of your object which are recyclable into your blue bin. The rest of the parts, you can just throw away.

Pollution is a HUGE problem!! It even causes global warming! Since most people don't recycle, there is a ton of garbage!! Garbage is causing the area to smell and it damages the soil. Garbage is stored in landfills. Landfills cause a lot of pollution to the earth. There is also air pollution. Air pollution happens a lot! It comes from the smoke in factories to the gas coming out from your car. This makes the air we live in bad for our body. The air becomes dirty or polluted. That's why we should stop polluting the earth that we live on. It helps us and all life on the planet.

Did you know electricity is a HUGE part in our life? We use electricity everyday in our lives. For instance, you use electricity when you are using your computer, when you use your headlights when driving a car at night, even streetlights use electricity. Could you imagine what it would be like without any electricity? Well you have seen the good part of electricity but did you know that there are consequences to electricity? Yes, electricity helps us do everyday things. Although, electricity is sometimes created with heat. This heat may come from coal. When this heat is created, it pollutes the air.

Use bikes over cars. Bikes don't pollute the air and they're still faster than walking! When using a bike you could still get to places on time.

Use gas stoves over electric stoves! They give the same amount of heat but the gas stove uses less electricity than the electric stove.

We could make a habit to look for other ways that involve less energy to save our planet and our future generation but most of us choose not to and the reason for that is because it either involves more work than they thought it would or either because we don’t have the right amount of time to contribute this deed. But the important message to keep in our mind is the fact that if we don’t start taking care of our planet now how will our future look like? For instance if we keep on driving vehicles that use gas imagine the amount of air pollution we would have or if we continuously build landfills the amount of pollution we would have all over our once beautiful area. Well if you don’t want that to happen think of alternative ways that involve less energy. For example, ride a bike to your destination over driving a car because of two reasons one you have to pay for vehicles and you create more pollution with all the gas you use up when you don’t have to pay and you don’t have to create extra pollution to the air with a bike. Along with that, you should use gas stoves over electric stoves since electric stoves use more electricity and even on the days of a power outage you cannot turn on an electric stove if you need to cook something whereas a gas stove you can easily turn it on and it doesn’t create any pollution and it does not use the amount of electricity an electric stove uses. See small alternative ways can make a big difference in our lives and environment!

Trees help us in many ways. They give us oxygen, they give us shade, and they are home to many animals. People build tree houses in trees. People get wood from trees, which is fine but too much can harm the environment. Could you imagine the world without trees, homes, land, habitats, oxygen! Not exactly what you thought right? Well if you want to prevent the world from becoming that way you have to make a change. Change starts with you! some ways you can help save trees is by raising awareness to people around you. With everyone pitching in to help imagine all of the animals you could save, lives you can keep out of danger and most importantly trees you can rely on. Trees do much more than just provide habitats and wood trees absorb harmful gasses such as carbon dioxide and sulfur dioxide and instead clean the air and provide oxygen. Did you know that one large tree can supply a day's oxygen for four people! Some other things that trees do is mark the seasons, conserve energy, provide food, heel people, save water, prevent water pollution and much more!
