Make Peace not War

I think that the poem Dulce Et Decorum Est is a wonderful poem that describes some of the horrors of the first World War masterfully. It describes some of the things that happened during the trench warfare. Like the poison gases and the bombings and other things like that. It shows that war is a horrific and terrifying thing. It shows that war is not honorable, it is dishonorable. It is disgusting and horrible. In one line it says, "My friend, you would not tell with such high zest to children ardent for some desperate glory,". This is saying that if you really knew what war was like you would not hype it up to be some great thing.
