- About 54% of the coal mined in Australia is exported.

- Coal Mining in Australia releases carbon dioxide, which contributes to climate change and effects of global warming. In order to improve the effects of coal mining,they could reduce emissions trading, which controls the emissions of pollutants.

- Australia uses Wind Power as an alternative source for coal. About 23% of that renewable resource provides electricity.

- China is the worst in coal mining because 89% of its electricity comes from coal. On the other hand, Columbia only uses 75%.
