A Message from the Principal's Desk:

Greetings, members of the Kingsway community! The first marking period has come to an end. We are proud to announce that 486 students made our Renaissance Club; this is a KRMS record number of students. Congratulations to all of those students who demonstrated their Commitment to Excellence! A celebration will be held in their honor on Friday, December 13 at Total Turf. Additionally, 338 students had PERFECT attendance for the first marking period. We look forward to a productive second marking period. Please help to encourage your student to get involved in all of the activities Kingsway has to offer. December will see our students take center stage for our chorus concert and our band concert. We hope you had a safe and pleasant Thanksgiving!

Communication

Marking Period Grades: All of the first marking period report cards can be accessed through the parent portal on PowerSchool. Click on “Report Card” to access your child’s first marking period report card.

Parent Involvement: A huge thanks to all of the parents who assisted us for Career Day on November 27. We appreciate all of your support. The students benefited greatly from this experience.

Loss of Good Student Standing: Please keep in mind if your student loses his/her “Good Student Standing” due to a disciplinary infraction on three separate occasions throughout the year, he/she will not be permitted to go on the end of the year field trip.

Conferences: Conferences with your child's team may occur Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays throughout the entire school year. All conferences should be scheduled through our Guidance Department. Please do not hesitate to contact the Guidance Department at any time if you would like to schedule a conference.

Renaissance Program: Kingsway Regional Middle School’s first Renaissance Club celebration will be held on December 13. Four hundred eighty-six card holders will be treated to an outing at Total Turf. Thanks to all of our supporters in the community! Without their support, this program would not be possible for our kids.

At this celebration, our students' talents will be on full display as they pay respect to all of the historical African Americans who have shaped this nation. We will host this event in the morning, and it will be an open house format.

Holiday Cheer: All KRMS students will be making holiday cards that will be delivered to local hospitals in the area.

Holiday Spirit: We are eagerly awaiting our Holiday Instrumental Concert on December 9 and our Middle School Chorus Concert on December 12. Please come out and support our students who have worked tirelessly over the past four months preparing for these concerts. Additionally, the students will be playing for our staff and students on December 20th.
