Dionysus
The most significant god in Greek Mythology
Thesis Statement
Summary
Dionysus is the only god who had a mortal parent, who is Semele. Semele was madly in love with Zeus, but she wanted to see him as a god. When she did she dies and Zeus takes Dionysus. Because of Hera’s (Zeus wife) jealousy, she send the Titans to kill Dionysus but eventually Rhea bring hims back to life. Then Zeus, his father order him to live in a mountain nymphs. Also Dionysus was one of the few people who brought a dead person from the underworld, which was his own mother. He didn’t really know her, but he brought her back to Mount Olympus.

Conclusion Statement
Lastly, Dionysus is define as a courageous god that rescued his mother from and the underworld and bring her back alive. Although he is the god of wine and fertilizer, he have done things that define him significant god, such as Dionysus associates in the everday life, with rebirth after death, when he comes back alive and the grape vines turn trimmed and becomes dormant in the winter.
