Career= Physical Therapy
A Physical Therapist helps people who have injuries or illnesses improve their movements and manage their pain. Physical Therapists are often an important part of the the rehabilitating and treatment of patients with chronic conditions or injuries.
Physical Therapists usually work in a private offices and clinics, hospitals and nursing homes. They spend most of their time on their feet, actively working with patients.
Physical Therapists are required to have a postgraduate professional degree. Physical Therapy programs usually award a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree. But some programs also offer a Master of Physical Therapy (MPT) DPT programs usually last up to 3 years, and MPT programs require 2 to 3 years of study. Most programs require a bachelor's degree for admission.
