What's new at ÉPK

New to ÉPK

Dear parents,

I am a very excited to be a part of ÉPK community! What a great opportunity! As Mme McPherson indicated I am Mme Dargis-Boucher and I will be the new assistant principal here at ÉPK. I have a number of years teaching and supporting students in French Immersion. I have had the privilege of teaching all grades at the K-6 level, I have worked with children with diverse learning needs and I have worked as a counsellor at both the elementary and secondary level. My constant desire to learn and experience new opportunities has brought me here to this community, and I couldn't be more thrilled! When you have a moment, please drop by and say hello, I look forward to getting to know this community!

This past week has not been a typical week - the cold and no busses have definitely been challenging. Thanks for your patience! Let's hope spring is around the corner.

Mme Dargis-Boucher

Our Grade 4 leadership team have organized a Read-a-thon as a social justice project. The funds gathered through this project will be donated to Valeda House, a supportive and transitional housing option for women and children under the age of 12. So please sponsor your child with this endeavour! Not only will it encourage reading but what a great opportunity to make a difference in the lives of mothers and children.

Report cards came out live, February 1. Make sure to find the time to review this document with your child and celebrate their learning!

How to use Google tools to support your EICS student

Did you know your child, as an EICS student, has access to G Suite for Education? These tools allow students to access, share, and create knowledge that supports their learning. On Feb. 28 from 7:00-8: 30 pm, come to learn what Google for Education tools your child has access to and explore how to use those tools to support them at home. This session is for all learners, whether you are a beginner or have experience with technology.

There are limited spaces so please register here or go to http://bit.ly/EICSGoogleTools

Please come with your child's EICS login information (if you don't know how to access this please ask your child or your child's teacher). If you don't have this, we will have alternative logins so all participants can participate.
