Schumacher Lost and Found
Any items that are left in the Lost and Found after Tuesday, May 23rd will be donated to a local charity. Please claim all items by the last day of school and before we leave for Summer Break.
The Lost and Found has been piling up very quickly and before this year comes to an end, please make sure your child is not missing any jackets or other items. Pieces of clothing with names on them have been returned to students in their classrooms. Please remember to put names (first and last) on items that could get lost at school, so that we can make sure they are returned to the correct person.
Contact Counselor Leah Eslick if you have any questions about the Shark Lost & Found.
Rangers Reading Crew
This summer, we will be partnering with the Swope Park Rangers (farm team of Sporting KC) to offer a FREE ticket to all students who read 5 books during the summer. Sheets will be coming home in the next few weeks. Students will fill out the bottom of the form and return it to the library to earn their free ticket to the game. Kids will also be given a discount code for their family to buy additional tickets.
Perhaps the most exciting part of this program is that the Rangers want to recognize one student at each grade level who reads the MOST this summer. These students will be selected and will get to be honored on the field at a Rangers game. In addition, if they have read the most books of all the participating schools, there is an even greater prize that has yet to be announced.

Science-PLTW
The final project for PLTW was to design a playground that will provide shade and protection from harmful UV rays. We tested our playgrounds with our mystery beads to see if their structures provided the shade needed to keep the beads from changing colors from UV rays!
