Attendance
Student attendance is recorded over a 24 hour period, 8 am - 8 am.
To get credit for attendance a student must do one of the following
- attend a Zoom lesson or class meeting with a teacher
- turn in an assignment via Google Classroom or Seesaw.
- attend office hours with a teacher
- have an email exchange, phone call, or Bloomz communication with a teacher (this could be the parent)
If a student does not do one of these things in the 24 hour period then they are marked absent.
Active engagement in learning, academic achievement, and progress towards academic goals will be monitored by teachers and specialists.
If you have questions related to attendance please email me at Candice.Henkin@orecity.k12.or.us
Below you will find informational videos to help you get acquainted with Google Classroom & Seesaw.

Breakfast & Lunch Available at Nine Sites & Along Four Delivery Routes ~ Pandemic Electronic Benefits Transfer for Children (P-EBT)
UPDATE: ODE has announced free breakfast and lunch for all students through 2020 (December 31, 2020). This means that all students can take advantage of district meals at no cost. It is still important that you complete free and reduced meals application for the year. For the most current meal distribution plan visit https://www.ocsd62.org/district/breakfast-lunch-available-nine-sites-along-four-delivery-routes-pandemic-electronic
All students eat free at meal distribution sites; do I need to fill out the Meal Benefit Application? Yes! Families need to re-qualify for meal benefits after August 1st of each year. Families should do this now so that everything has been approved BEFORE the start of the Hybrid model later this year. This is especially important if your financial situation has changed due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Having an accurate count of families who qualify also allows our school to apply for various grants throughout the year. You can apply for meal benefits online.
