Belmont Elementary: A PAWSitive Place to Learn!

Did YOU Remember to FALL Back This Weekend?

Clocks fell backwards one hour! How did you spend your extra hour? We hope it was with family and included lots of love and smiles in the sunshine!

But also, please remember that THIS WEDNESDAY is a 2-hour Delayed Start Day. School begins at 10:45, so drop off is from 10:30-10:40! Lunch will be served and dismissal will be normal.

We WILL BE Hosting a School Spelling Bee at BE!

The district has taken a little bit different path than recently shared in regards to the spelling bee. As previously shared, we will NOT be conducting classroom spelling bees. Our classroom work focuses on word study which is much different than traditional 'memorize the list by Friday and forget it all by Monday' spelling.

BUT, we do want to be able to send a representative to the Johnson County Spelling Bee, so we will need to hold a school bee. If your child would like to participate in the school bee, they are welcome to do so. Parents may opt-in their child using the form link below.

CLICK HERE to sign your 3rd, 4th or 5th grade word-loving student up for the school spelling bee by Friday, November 11th!! Practice spelling lists will be sent home with students on Monday, November 14th.

Our BE Spelling Bee will be held on Wednesday, November 30th at 2:00 pm in the cafeteria. Parents of spellers are welcome to attend!
