In The Black Panthers
He joined the black panther right after he got out of college while in the Black Panthers, Carmichael came up with his most famous quote. “We been saying ‘freedom’ for six years, What we are going to start saying now is ‘Black Power.'”
Challenges
The Challenges that Carmichael faces were discrimination and the occasional arrest for doing nothing.
Controbutions
His Major contribution was that he rallied people together to make America less discriminated, sadly he lost hope and gave up before it was done.
Bio
Stokley was born on June 29, 1941. His parents were Adolphus Carmichael and Mabel R. Carmichael. He went to Howard University for college in 1960. In college he join the SNCC, which was one of the groups who set up he Freedom Riders
EFFECT OF CARMICHAEL
He was what made the whites in the South act more and be meaner, because h=they knew that their freedom was coming. The aftermath of the Civil Rights Movement made he paranoid and he always though he was being watched.
