Monday Memo

February 1, 2015

Last Wednesday night, we welcomed parents of our incoming Kindergarten students. It was a great event and so exciting to see the new parents who are eager and nervous to send their "babies" off to school.

Just a reminder grades are due by Wednesday, February 3. Please let me know if you will need extra time.

BOCES 2 and its component districts have been selected to participate in a "Consortium of Innovation" grant. The purpose of this consortium is to strengthen instructional leadership and improve communication with teachers, families and communities. This Thursday and Friday, Jennifer Sinsebox, Cara, Danielle, Andrienne Loftus and myself will participate in the first convening to learn more about this grant. We will be sharing out what we have learned when we return.

Tuesday is Groundhog's Day. Don't forgot about the Groundhog Day dinner that support the Interact Club and the Assets Initiative! Take out dinners will be available starting at 3:00. I still have tickets available if you would like to bring home a ham dinner for your family on Tuesday! While you are there, you can check out the 2016 TJC Groundhog Day poster contest entries. Our 1st and 2nd grade artists are quite talented!

Don't to sign up for your Professional Learning Walk. This is a wonderful opportunity to collaborate with each other.

Here are some pictures from last week...
