Margaret Lansing, Class of '78

Margaret Lansing, Class of '78 will be retiring this summer after 35 years with NOAA. She is looking forward to spending more time with her husband, grandchildren, and extended family. She moved to Ann Arbor, MI in 1979 and has been there ever since. Fun fact re: Class of '78: Margaret, Jackie Laird (Murray) Sally Holland (Cooksey) and Susan Gallivan Hayward (Gallivan) still get together from time to time and started quarterly zooms during Covid. "During our time in Mahwah together we were all great friends and big on sports. Go Thunderbirds!"

Rick DeSilva '93

Rick DeSilva, Jr., from Liberty Subaru in Emerson, N.J. was named the 2021 TIME Dealer of the Year during an awards ceremony held in conjunction with NADA Show 2021. DeSilva was selected from a field of 40 dealer nominees throughout the country.

“There are so many aspects of my career that I find rewarding, but the best part is being in the grocery store or at a restaurant wearing something with a Liberty Subaru logo and having people stop me to tell me about a great experience they had buying or servicing their car with us,” DeSilva said. “For customers to have such strong, positive feelings about buying or servicing a car tells me that the extra effort we make to do things right is paying off.”

The second-generation dealer has worked hard to further the cause of education in Mahwah, the town where DeSilva grew up and currently resides. He serves on the Mahwah Board of Education since 2012 and participated in the creation of a new STEAM [science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics] center.

DeSilva’s charitable efforts along with his commitment to do right by his customers, employees and community earned him the prestigious award, which is presented by TIME Magazine and sponsored by Ally Financial.

Tim Culloty '10 and Mark Glicini '11

It’s an exciting time for the Mahwah High School Boys Lacrosse team as we had our first positive season last year in many. Mark and I were part of the 1st ever lacrosse team at Mahwah High School in 2009 and captains of the team that won the Bergen County Tournament in only its 2nd year as a program in 2010.

We appreciate your support now and moving forward! Lacrosse is the fastest growing sport in the USA and we have a pioneer from Mahwah at the front playing professionally and for Team USA! He does not forget where he came from and he has always been willing to give back to Mahwah.
