Grade 8 Open House is on Thursday, October 10
Come to the school to meet your child's teachers and the school administration! Grade 8 Open House will begin at 6:00 PM with a short presentation in the auditorium. After the presentation, parents/guardians will visit their child's classrooms following a "1A day" schedule. [Prior to the event, students will fill out a schedule sheet for their family member(s) to follow.] Classroom visits will conclude by 8:00 PM. Please make sure to stop by the Hidden in Plain Sight exhibit (information below) during the evening.
We look forward to seeing you there!
Hidden in Plain Sight
Hidden In Plain Sight is an interactive exhibit which portrays a model teen bedroom containing over 30 signs of alcohol and drug use. The exhibit will be located in the KPMS cafeteria on the same night as Grade 8 Open House (Oct 10), from 5:30 - 8:30 PM. Resources and professionals in the field will be available to answer your questions. Please make sure to stop by this very important exhibit.
A Message from the KPMS PTSO
The KPMS PTSO would like to extend a warm welcome back to all returning families and a special welcome to all new KPMS families. We hope the transition to middle school is going well and that everyone's year is off to a good start!
We are excited to share that, with the help of the many generous donations we received last year through our inaugural check writing campaign, we were able to award grants totaling close to $4,000 in order to fulfill a variety of grants that benefited all of our students, faculty, and staff.
We would love to continue our momentum this year and are excited to kick off this year's check writing campaign! Please view the flyer to find information about the campaign and how you can help make the 2019/2020 school year a success.
Thank you in advance for helping us with this important initiative!
