StandOut
Mrs. Uekman passed the StandOut award to Mrs. Crouse.
I would like to pass the Springhill Standout award to Mrs. Crouse. Mrs. Crouse is one of the most positive people in our building. She ALWAYS has a smile on her face, whether she's opening ketchup packets, practicing crazy dances for Spirit Day, or helping Kindergartners learn their letters. She is always helpful and seems to see the bright side in every situation. She is genuinely nurturing, and her love for kids is obvious. Thank you Mrs. Crouse for standing out at Springhill and doing whatever it takes for our students.
Thanks PTO!
Every Day Counts .... Ninja Warrior Attendance Challenge
Every class is working to get 12 days of perfect attendance for their classroom. This means when everyone in their class is at school and no one is tardy or checks out early that counts as 1 day. For every day over the 12 days they can earn more time on the course.
Everyday counts for our students and we want them to be at school every day! The challenge is on! Here is how we did for last week: April 16-20
Monday: Students Absent: 33 Students Tardy: 8
Tuesday: Students Absent: 26 Students Tardy: 13
Wednesday: Students Absent: 32 Students Tardy: 7
Thursday: Students Absent: 25 Students Tardy: 7
Friday: Students Absent: 18 Students Tardy: 9
Breakout Box Activity
Mrs. Freeman was making learning fun this week with her fifth graders!
Day 2: During the second activity students had to decode the letter in the box. They were competing in table groups to be the first group to decode the entire letter for a prize. They were so competitive using testing screens to keep others from seeing their ideas on the mystery code!!

Out of the Dust
Mrs. Crass hooked her students today as she introduced their next text, Out of the Dust. She had students wear masks as they entered the dark classroom to a dust storm happening on the SMARTboard. The students were so excited to see what their new learning would be!
BEST TEAM EVER
Wow! There are no words to describe this group’s dedication to and love for our students! They worked so hard to make this day special for our students and celebrate how hard they have worked all year! They spent hours upon hours preparing and it showed! We are so thankful for each one of them!
ArtsFest
Testing Bash
We celebrated students of the month, introduced our new character word, had an awesome guest speaker, experienced a new routine from the Springhill Steppers, showed off our testing prizes, and each grade encouraged us to “Test Like a Warrior” with their cheers!
Test Like a Warrior
The students (and adults) absolutely loved watching these demonstrations! Mr. Fox and the students from Grand Master Hans did an AMAZING job getting our students ready to test like warriors!
