Week of 10/23
October Happenings
This week was so much fun! Second grade enjoyed the Lynnwood Park Zoo, playing with snakes, turtles, and other interesting animals. Our Learn and Lead day highlighted Habit 2 (great job 4th grade!) and students were engaged in all kinds of interest-based clubs.
Reminders:
- Please bring charged laptops to school this week for benchmark testing (Monday-Wednesday).
- There is a fall festival final organization meeting on Monday @ 5:30 in the PD room.
- Storybook Character Pumpkins are due to the media center by Wednesday at 3pm.
Fall Festival
Our PLT is working hard to make our fall festival a huge success! Anything you can do to assist, please let Elizabeth Barron (barron.ea@gmail.com). There will be a final organizational meeting on Monday, October 23 at 5:30pm in the PD room in the Annex.
Ticket sales will continue through the day of the festival. Students can go to the media center every morning until 9am to get theirs. The cost is 25 tickets for $10 or 40 cents each. Tickets will be 50 cents each during the festival.
We are asking for the following donations from each grade level:
*All grade levels are asked to bring in store bought desserts for the cake walk.
Kindergarten -Colored Hairspray
1st grade- water bottles/soda cans
2nd and 3rd grades- cool whip (in a tub)
4th and 5th grades- fun size Halloween candy
Wear Your Spirit Wear for Red Ribbon Week!
Tuesday, Oct 31 is the LAST DAY to turn in Boxtops!

11/16- 2nd/3rd grade Veteran's Day Performance/Family Game Night- dinner provided
