Mrs. Thune's 2nd Grade News
December 15-19
Holiday Party
Students were sent home with information about the party a couple weeks ago. They need to bring their assigned item to share with the class and a wrapped book for the book exchange. If you are having difficulty paying for/bringing either of these items, please email Mrs. Thune @ ethune@ems-isd.net as soon as possible.
Sack lunches will still be served from the cafeteria on this day, or students may bring their own. We will be eating lunch in the classroom. Sweets will be served during the party as well.
Please let me know if you plan on attending the party to expedite the check-in process on Friday.

Reminders
The folders go home each Monday and are due each Friday signed by a parent.
*Students should be reading a MINIMUM of 20 minutes nightly. Istation, Raz-Kids, Fluency passages, fry word practice, and library books can all count toward these minutes.
*Please check our class Facebook page for more frequent updates & reminders. I will also be posting frequently for your assistance with supplies for Science. We are short on materials and resources, so I need help from parents so that we can do our inquiry labs.
*Our library day is Monday. Students need to return books each Monday. If they are ready to trade books throughout the week, I will let them trade new books as time permits. A good time to go is in the morning before class starts at 7:40. Please encourage your child to do this.
*Please label all coats, hats, gloves, etc. As the colder months approach, we have a lot of lost-and-found items.
