Graduation Edition - May 2022

Graduation is only a month away!

Can you believe it? In a month, you will be graduating from high school and moving forward with whatever plans that you have made for life after high school! We are all excited for you and wish you the very best.

Graduation Practice and Cookout

Wednesday, June 8th, 2pm

West Stanly High School

Please plan on attending graduation practice if you plan on participating in the graduation ceremony! It is mandatory! And, please stay afterwards for a cookout in your honor!

Graduation of the Class of 2022

Friday, June 10th, 7pm

West Stanly High School

Rain Date: June 11th at 9:00am at West Stanly High School


All students will receive 8 tickets for graduation - these tickets will be passed out during graduation practice. If you owe any fees, they must be paid before your tickets will be given to you! Be sure that you don't owe for any chromebook charges, library book fees, or any other fees before graduation practice!

Student Dress Code for Graduation

Graduation is an exciting ceremony, but it is also a dignified one and we are asking that students dress appropriately underneath their gown. Please read below for the dress code expectations:



  • No flip flops, tennis shoes, or sneakers. Please wear dress shoes, and high heels are discouraged because of walking through the grass on the field. We recommend flats or chunky heels or wedges.
  • No shorts or jeans - please wear dress pants, skirts or dresses. Skirts and dresses must not be seen below the gowns.
  • No T shirts please

4.0 Recognition and Scholarship Night

Tuesday, May 17th, 7pm

West Stanly High School Auditorium

Invitations have been handed out for this evening!! We are recognizing all students who have a 4.0 and above, all NC Scholars, and all students who have been awarded scholarships! Please be sure that the Scholarship survey has been filled out if you have been awarded scholarship money! We want to be sure that every senior who has been given scholarships is invited to this event! Contact your school counselor for more information, or if you have any questions.
