To our KCSD families
Re: Oregon Department of Education's newest guidelines
June 10, 2020
Dear KCSD families,
The Oregon Department of Education released its newest guidance today (June 10), detailing the requirements districts must follow to reopen schools next fall.
We are studying the new guidelines, and a team of educators is working to determine how best to deliver quality education while ensuring the safety and health of our students.
We want you to know that Klamath County School District will do what it takes to offer viable academic instruction for all students. We have many different options in the planning stages as we will have to be flexible depending on how the virus affects Oregon over the next few months.
We know everyone is anxious to know what school will look like. We will continue to communicate with you throughout the summer as we know more about our plans for the fall.
If you have concerns or questions about the 2020-21 school year, please reach out to us. We are in this together, and we are here for you and your student.
Respectfully,
Glen Szymoniak
Superintendent
Klamath County School District
