Who is Gaius Julius Caesar

Gaius Julius Caesar expanded the Roman Republic through a lot of battles though Europe. He was born in a senatorial patrician family. In 60 B.C he launched his own successfull politial and military career. Finally, he struck a deal with two of the Romans leading figures Pompey the Great and Crassus. With both of these men on Julius Caesars' side the three of them became known as the First Triumvirate.

How did Julius Caesar die?

Julius Caesar died on March 15 44 BC and was 55 years old. Julius Caesar was assassinated by about 60 members of the senate. He was stabbed with daggers and was struck at least 23 times. They left him to die under the Statue of Pompey. When Julius Caesar become emperor many people liked him but some people didn't.

How did it affect the world?

Julius Caesar destroy the Roman empire and ended the Roman Republican. He also change their laws and calendars. When Julius Caesar came into power of the Republican of Rome was gone but it turned into the Roman empire. He destroyed the idea of the Republicans. In the dark ages that followed after the end of the Roman empire that idea of the Republican was gone so, in every kingdom there were kings. Also his death may have started wars
