Copeland Hoofbeat
December 7, 2017
From the Principal
I hope you all had a wonderful break from school and spent some quality time surrounded by family and friends. We are so excited about the upcoming school events in December!
I neglected to thank two incredible sponsors from our Veteran’s Day festivities. Huge thanks to Land of a Thousand Hills in Towne Lake for donating the wonderful coffee, and Whataburger, who generously donated lots of delicious cinnamon rolls for our event. We would also like to thank Ace Hardware for donating a Christmas tree for our front office. Please patronize our fabulous sponsors with your business. We are so thankful for them!
Our 5th grade program will be December 12th at 6:30 in the cafeteria. Mrs. Vigil always prepares the students so well, and the show will be awesome! We are looking forward to our Life Skills Christmas Show on December 19th at 6:00. I am sure the students will put on a great show for us as well.
Our Winter Parties will be on December 21st. Please see the party schedule in this edition of the Hoofbeat. Each guest will have to have a sticker to attend the party, so please visit our campus to scan your driver’s license if you have not done so this school year to ensure that you are already in our system. Be sure to RSVP if you or any family members will be attending the parties. We would hate for you to miss the party waiting in line to check in! Safety is a priority here at Copeland.

From the Nurse
Dear PPCD, PK, Kinder and 1st grade parents,
please keep a full set of temperature appropriate clothes in your child’s backpack at all times. The clinic has minimal clothes and not all sizes so doing so may eliminate an unnecessary trip to the school. Should your student “borrow” clothes from the clinic please wash them and return them. Underwear must be a new pair however. Thank you for your understanding.
Thank you,
Chris Cheves BSN, RN
