We were blessed with a beautiful morning to walk and bike to school from Riverside Park.
Field Day - June 5
We will be having our annual Field Day for grades K-5 on Monday, June 5th at St. Mary's High School Track. The games will be moved to St. Gabriel School if the weather does not permit us to be outdoors.
We could use approximately 25 volunteers to help with the game activities from 8:50 to 10:30 am. If you have completed all Safe Environment requirements for volunteers and are available to help us with this activity sign-up by May 18th. Please include your e-mail, child's campus that they are attending, and your K-5 student's name(s) in the comment section. This will assist us in assigning you to the game areas where your children will be participating. All volunteers will be e-mailed information regarding game directions and their location a few days prior to Field Day.

FACES President Sarah Champa - THANK YOU!
With two years of leadership and dedication as our FACES President at SMM, even the best of words do not give justice to the work that Sarah Champa has provided for our community. Her discipleship as a faith-based parent has meant much more than just the transfer of information as President but her ability to be a role model for our students with her demonstrated values. Sarah has an amazing level of patience which has added to the success of the many events, projects and meetings she has organized and supported. The care and love she has as a mother, translates into the lives of the children at SMM; and as parents and faculty, we are blessed to have this presence.
Thank you Sarah, for your time and dedication volunteering as President for the past two years. Your time and talents have helped to show appreciation for the teachers and made a stronger community at St. Margaret Mary School.

Notes from our Parent Organization
FACES Meeting - Friday, June 2nd at 8 am
All parents are invited to our last FACES meeting of the school year! Please sign in at the office and then head downstairs to the cafeteria. Our meeting will start at 8 am, and meetings usually last about one hour. Little siblings are always welcome. We hope to see you there!
Lunchroom volunteers
The countdown is on … the end of the school year is just a few weeks away! If you’d like to see your students in action in the lunchroom, we have several openings in May. Please contact Liesl Britzke at 920-740-5173 with questions about helping in the lunchroom, or sign up using this link: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/20F0C44AAAE22A0FF2-smm20222023
Volunteer reminders
We are so thankful for all of our school volunteers! As a quick reminder, the Diocese of Green Bay requires that all school volunteers (including lunch room volunteers, field trip chaperones, and classroom volunteers) complete the VIRTUS training, complete a background check, and sign the Diocesan Code of Pastoral Conduct document prior to volunteering.
There have been updates to our documentation requirements in 2022 and 2023. If you believe you have completed these steps, but have not yet volunteered this year, please reach out to Mrs. Schira or Mrs. Charapata the office to confirm your records match the school’s records.
If you have not yet started this process, but plan to volunteer this year, please reach out to Mrs. Schira or Mrs. Charapata in the office, and they can help you get started. Thank you for all you do for our school!
