A Reason to Not Host The Party
The holiday season, including New Year's Eve, is a time when both adults and minors frequently consider violating the Social Host Law. As a friendly reminder, the Social Host Law in Massachusetts makes it illegal to furnish alcohol to persons under 21 years old. A "social host" is an adult or a minor in control of the premises, who provides OR allows alcohol to be consumed on the premises.
Art and the Community
BID ceiling tiles were painted by students in the Art and the Community course at Plymouth North High school this fall. They were given a theme of calming or soothing imagery, they settled on a theme of DREAMS. From daydreams, to night time dreams, from sketches, progress images, to the final tiles, see photos that document this project from start to finish. Students were asked to reflect on the work they created- the theme they chose, why they chose it, and it's impact knowing where it is going.

Holiday Parties and Santa
With holiday break around the corner holiday parties were in full swing at P.E.C.C.! Parents were invited to attend with their child and enjoy fun centers, sing alongs and some classrooms put on a show for their parents. Each classroom ended their party by making a special snack. Miss Kim’s class made Christmas trees with an ice cream cone, frosting and candies. Santa also came to visit all of the students at the preschool. Some children brought their Christmas lists to personally hand to Santa. Wishing all of our students and families a safe and happy holiday break!

Cold Spring Holiday Gift Drive
This year Cold Spring School held their annual Holiday Gift Drive in support of helping children who are receiving care at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. All donations supported children and families at the Division of Pediatric Hematology & Oncology. The total donation from Cold Spring was a collection of 75 gifts and 14 gift cards.
Throughout the month of November, The CSES lobby housed a giving tree. The tree was adorned with mittens that represented wish list items such as toys, gift cards, etc... for children of various ages. The mitten theme comes from a book entitled "The Mitten Tree" by Candace Christiansen, which celebrates the notion of giving in an anonymous manner.
During the weeks of November 18-December 9th families selected a mitten from the tree that contained a wish list item. All Donations were brought to the Massachusetts General Hospital last week. We thank the Cold Spring community for their generous donation!
