Class Placements
We will meet on Thursday, May 3rd to begin the process of class placements for next school year. This week in your mailbox, you wil find index cards. We will utilize the same system as last year with the student's name on an index card with some information (see below for what to include on the index card), and we were able to move students around easier using pocket charts.
In order to use our time together most effectively, we are asking if you could prepare the note cards as follows:
- Boys=Blue Note Cards
- Girls=Green note cards
- First and last name on front of card
- Below name=any students to separate from
RED: Consistently needs reminders of classroom and school expectations
YELLOW: Occasionally needs reminders of classroom and school expectations
GREEN: Follows classroom and school expectations for the most part.
Top right corner, mark with an "A" and corresponding dot for ACADEMIC:
RED: Consistently needs additional one-on-one teacher support and is below grade level.
YELLOW: Occasionally needs additional one-on-one teacher support.
GREEN: On or above grade level

Global Day of Design May 4th
What is the Global Day of Design all about?
Students need to make, build, and tinker. The Global Day of Design is one-day that focuses on using the Design Thinking process in school. Our goal for the Global Day of Design is to inspire a transformation in schools around the world to incorporate design into an every day practice with our students.
In the past two years over 100,000 students from 950 schools (and four continents) have participated. We are hoping to grow even more this year! Use the Hashtag #GDD18 on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram. Live stream if you can!
