GMS Weekly News and Notes
Weekly Updates
This week, we paid tribute to GMS family members who are veterans of the U.S. Armed Forces. Students and staff posted mini biographies of their loved ones, along with thank you notes. We are deeply grateful for the service of the veterans within our GMS community.
Within the last week, we marked the conclusion of both our fall athletic season and our fall after-school club season. It was a thrill to walk around the campus during the last two months and to see the many talents of our students on display everywhere. I am very grateful to the many faculty and staff who coordinated, coached, advised, supervised, and otherwise supported our students as they explored activities they are passionate about. Teamwork most certainly made the dream work!
The GMS orchestra and GMS chorus had a terrific showing at Cantonstock last Saturday. It was their first performance of the year in collaboration with the CHS groups and the performance did not disappoint. Special thanks to Ms. Pabon, Ms. Hitchcock, Ms. Carlson, and Mr. Langmeyer for their continuous support of our young performing artists!
We look forward to welcoming many GMS parents to our in-person and virtual parent-teacher conferences this week. Information on sign-ups is included below.
Please note that term 1 report cards will be added to your student's E-locker in Plus Portal by the end of the day on Thursday, November 17th. Paper copies are not sent home, but we will provide a paper copy to anyone who requests it. Instructions for accessing report cards is included below
