Middle School Dance Team to perform at the Six Flags Dance Fest on Saturday, May 19th at 1PM
For more than 25 years Dancefest has given troupes of all ages, types and genres the opportunity to perform without the pressure of a competition or big recital.
Dancefest will give our Middle School Dance Team the opportunity to perform for a large audience.
They will perform at the Six Flags Dance Fest on Saturday, May 19th at 1PM
We would like to encourage members of the CPE II community to attend, support our Dance Team and have a great time. Please note this is not a fund raising event. CPE II does not receive any percentage of the sales.
Families can purchase tickets at the discounted rate of $34.11 as a Dance Fest promotion. The dance team will get 1 free ticket for every 10 that are purchased, which will subsidize some of the dancers who need financial support. This promotion is not limited to CPE II families. Share with friends and family.
They also have a meal voucher that can be purchased for $15.45 that includes one personal sized meal and a drink.

The application is open for CPE II students in current grades 2 - 8. (Their groups for Kindergarten and First Graders are full right now, but should spaces open, we will let you know.) The camp is usually held at PS 50. We are not sure if it will be there, or in an alternative facility close by due to the work that needs to get done this summer.
If you would like an application, please email Yhane@cpe2.org for the elementary school or Jaison@cpe2.org for the middle school to have an application put in your child's purple folder.

The book costs $17.99, but I am planning to purchase a quantity and make them available at about $11.00 if there is interest. The books will be autographed at the time of the visit. Please use this survey to indicate interest.
Unplug for Screen-Free Week!
Screen-Free Week is April 30 – May 6, 2018! For one full week, schools, families, and entire communities will rediscover life without screens. Read a book, plant a garden, visit a museum, play in the woods, go for a long walk, make art – the possibilities are endless! Whether you’re a long-time celebrant or newly curious, the week offers an opportunity to disconnect from corporate tech and re-engage with the world around you.
Past participants tell us that going screen-free has helped them feel invigorated, relaxed, and connected with each other (and we know from experience that they’re right!).
