How would you suggest us, as a nation, provide consistent learning opportunities for teachers...
Mentor teachers.
Teacher evaluations.
Annual training such as workshops, various researched sources and visual presentations on different subjects.
Should there be a consistent standard for all teachers to meet, just as students must pass high stakes tests? If so, what would be the standard?
In my opinion, I believe that there should be standard for teachers to meet.
Students test results.
Principal/Assistant/Principal Evaluation.
Engage in professional growth & leadership.
Facilitate and inspire student learning & creativity.
Willingness to try new things.
Lastly, Share your thoughts on how well teachers are being prepared to master the ISTE Standards for Teachers standards in their classrooms.
Provide new mentors to new teachers to assist them in their first year.
Schools should provide teams that collaborate with one another to make sure teachers are on track with the goals they have set.
21st century skills are a must and teachers are given an opportunity to enhance their skills.
