Romona Review: Back-to-School
2022-2023
News from the Andersons
Dear Romona Families,
Welcome to the 2022-23 school year at Romona. We hope you have had a fabulous summer! We are looking forward to a fantastic year and partnering with you to support your mustang.
Our team worked tirelessly this summer to get Romona ready to welcome back your students! We installed new windows in the entire building, added a shade structure to our blacktop, and did lots of painting and updating around the building. It looks great!!
Now, we are getting ready for the year and have a lot of important information to share with you below. We hope you enjoy these last weeks of summer & look forward to seeing you on Monday, August 22nd!
Warmly,
Cindy & Lisa

Lunch at Romona
We are excited to be working our way back to a more typical lunch experience for our mustangs this year! Due to staff constraints, we will still be serving a brown bag lunch. However, all of our students will be eating in the cafeteria together! We also will be needing parent volunteers to help us in the lunch line, so please look out for a sign-up from the PTA! For more information about our food service, please click here.
School Safety Information
The safety of our students and staff remains our top priority. We have a comprehensive safety plan in place that is reviewed and updated annually in partnership with the Wilmette Police Department. As a part of this plan, please know that all exterior doors at Romona are locked at all times and visitors can only enter Romona by being buzzed in through the main entrance. Our team will be reviewing safety plans with staff during our upcoming Institute Days and we will practice our plan in partnership with our WPD this fall.
