Learning Mentor Schedule
We will not have learning mentors the week of October 28th since we only have students on Monday and Tuesday of that week.
PD Input
PD Padlet -This was on last week’s update as well, but we haven’t had many responses. Please make sure to put your name by any content you would be willing to share!
Attached is the PD Padlet for you to fill out. We wanted to make sure to send this as we use this to plan our PD, please make sure you list items you want to learn as well as any areas you feel confident in sharing with others.
Hallway Expectations
We have been having some issues with student not following the hallway expectations. These are posted throughout the hallway and a part of our Pride Procedures and visuals.
You will notice that the last slide of the presentation is a stop sign which states, “The stop sign means, stop and wait for your teacher here.” These are placed at points throughout the building that the students would go out of your sight causing a supervision issue, this is why the stop signs are there. One of the areas that has the stop signs is the middle glass doors. Please note that no student should go up the middle stairs unless accompanied by an adult. These doors are also to remain closed throughout the day for safety reasons. These doors should never be propped open during school hours. We appreciate your help in reviewing these procedures with your students to allow for safer and quieter hallways.
Veteran's Day
Though we do not have a school wide event for Veteran’s Day, we encourage each of you to implement lessons throughout the day on Monday that celebrate and honor our Veterans on November 11th. We also would like for classes to write thank you cards to our Veterans. We have a parent who will take them to nursing homes. When she delivers them, they deliver them to individual rooms and have a celebration with the Veterans to honor them. These cards mean a lot to them. Thank you for participating in having your students create the Thank You cards. Please have the cards turned into the office by Tuesday, October 29th.
Red Ribbon Week Poster Contest
This information was in the September 27th update. The posters are due to the office by the end of the day today. Please have them turned in so they can be judged on Monday! Please mark your posters with your name and grade level.
Please see the attached flyer for the Red Ribbon Week Poster Contest. It is an expectation that all classes participate. Please let us know if you have any questions.

Red Ribbon Jeans Week
Please pay Linda your $10 by Friday, October 18th if you wish to participate in the jeans week. Some have asked about wearing jeans for conferences if you have paid. This is completely ok, we just ask that you wear a nice top with your jeans.
