The history of nitrogen
Nitrogen is from the Greek word nitron genes. Daniel Rutherford discovered the element in 1772. Nitrogen is colorless,odorless and tasteless. Liquid nitrogen is used for freezing food. Nitrogen was suppose to be a chief of nutrients of trees. The human body is made up of 2.5% of nitrogen. Nitrogen is found in all living systems as part of the composition of biological compounds. Nitrogen is used for ammonia, nitric acid and fertilizers.
