Data Collection Form and End of Year PDPs: Please complete the Data Collection Form sent out in an email last week, and email to lfricke@wcpss.net if you have not done so. Beginning Teachers: Monday, April 10, 2017, Continuing Teachers: Monday, May 1, 2017. IF you have not completed your mid-year PDP, please do so as soon as possible. Teachers should now begin entering information for the end of year PDP so that during the end of year conference both the summary evaluation and the end of year PDP can be completed. If you have questions, please email Mr. Biles or Ms. Fricke.
EVAAS Teacher Verification of their class rosters begins this week and is due May 19. Please get with your supporting staff to corroborate on the percentage of time in the general ed. classroom and the time involved with a pullout classroom (Intervention with Peggy Blocker (Reading), Special Education and Heather Shipley-AIGReading and/or Math) staff that teach Reading and/or Math). If you have any questions please alert me well in advance so that you can complete your roster percentages accurately. Please look to veterans on you team to assist in the process, also.

Updates--NC Budget and HB 13
If you haven't already please familiarize yourself with the recently proposed Wake County Public School System Budget and Superintendent Jim Merrill’s letter that explains it.
Also of importance is to become familiar the House Bill 13 and its potential affects on the students and staffing of schools in North Carolina, including Pleasant Union. President Rick Childs has posted on the PTA Facebook page a helpful article that explains the bill. He has also posted two videos that explain the potential affects to our students. If you have further questions please contact PTA President Rick Childs rchilds.pue@gmail.com or Principal Kevin Biles kbiles@wcpss.net.
