Maintaining Your Child’s Student Information
One of MISD’s strategic goals focuses on school safety. At Lincoln Elementary, our top priority is to ensure our students learn in a safe environment. Many of you have noticed our requirement to provide your ID when you are changing your child’s transportation, checking your child out early, or coming to have lunch with your child. Although this may seem unnecessary at times as many of you are well known by our staff, the procedure ensures we are keeping your child safe in the event a different staff member assists you. We appreciate your cooperation in providing your ID to our staff when requested.
As a campus, we have safety procedures in place in the event of a school-wide emergency. We are asking all parents to ensure the phone numbers in the Parent Portal is accurate and updated as needed throughout the year. Please take a few moments to log in and check the accuracy for each of your children. This is important not only in an emergency event, but also in the event your child is ill. Please add any contact information of individuals who have permission to up your child. It is easier to plan in advance and have on file who is allowed to pick you child up in the event of an emergency. In the event our campus is evacuated to another school and the need to reunify them with parents, students will ONLY be released to adults listed on their student information portal.

Lunch Menus and Times
As a reminder, all breakfast and lunch meals are free to all students this year. However, if a child wants an additional helping or snacks, they must have money in their account to purchase the extras.
- Monday (11/15) - Main dish choices: mini corn dogs, grilled cheese sandwich, pizza munchable, or baked potato plate
- Tuesday (11/16) - Main dish choices: chicken tenders, fish sticks, Uncrustable sandwich
- Wednesday (11/17) - Main dish choices: cheese pizza, cheese ravioli, munchable meal, or baked potato plate
- Thursday (11/18) - Main dish choices: chicken fajitas, fiesta nachos, Uncrustable sandwich, or baked potato plate
- Friday (11/19) - Main dish choices: cheeseburger, chicken sandwich, pizza munchable, grilled cheese sandwich

- Pre-K - 10:45-11:15
- Kindergarten - 11:50-12:20
- 1st Grade - 10:45-11:15
- 2nd Grade - 11:20-11:50
- 3rd Grade - 11:20-11:50
- 4th Grade - 11:55-12:25
- 5th Grade - 12:35-1:05
School Hours, Attendance and Tardies
- Doors open at 7:50
- Tardy bell rings at 8:15
- School day ends at 3:40
We are working hard to maximize each and every minute our students are here. Students who arrive after 8:15 are considered tardy and will need to be walked into the front door of the building and signed in by a parent or guardian. If your child needs to leave early, they may be checked out through the front office by a parent or guardian.
Changes in transportation need to be made prior to 2:00 in order to allow time for the messages to be communicated with the appropriate staff member. To request a change of transportation, either
- Send a note with your child,
- Email LincolnElementaryTransit@misd.org with the note and a copy of your driver's license, or
- Come to the school with a copy of your driver's license.
