Learn to deal with your Angry Child
Anger is a very strong emotion that needs maturity to handle which young children do not have. That is why when kids are angry they are actually helpless, and they struggle to deal with this emotion. As an adult it is your responsibility to educate and guide them with anger management.
Understand your Child
The first step towards anger management for your child is to understand that there are a lot of reasons behind his behavior. Just like adults, children also feel insecure, misunderstood, misjudged, pressurized and unfairly treated. Generally these feelings lead to frustration which comes out as angry tantrums. Try and understand the kid so that you can work on the root cause of the problem.
Children imitate Adults
Is there someone in your family, friends or relatives who has anger issues? Try and find out whose behavior the child is imitating. It could also be something that he watches on TV. Remember when your child was an infant he used to only cry or smile, because he was not aware of other emotional outlets. Keep your child away from that source until he realizes that this behavior is inappropriate.
Acknowledge his feelings
First step towards anger management for kids is to acknowledge their feelings. Just because he is a child, he doesn’t lose his right to be angry, tell him that. Once your child feels that you understand him, he will confide in you.
Emotional Literacy
Your baby doesn't know anything about being angry, he just feels frustrated and depressed and throws a tantrum. Tell him that it is alright to be angry with someone or something, that he will be disappointed with others at some point and time all through out his life. But just like adults, he has to control his feelings and behave properly.

- Keep them busy with activities, a bored child could easily become an angry child.
- Get a pet and make your child teach him good habits.
- Make an “Angry Jar”. Every time a family member, young or adult, gets angry and shouts he has to give away one of his favorite things for 7 days.
- Make a weekend activity of playing games of anger management for kids. Make sure even adults participate.
