how many moons are there
The answer is no moons at all. That's right, Venus and are the onplanets that don't have a single natural moon orbiting them. Figuring out why is one question keeping astronomers busy as they study the Solar System.
Does it have rings
For a planet to have rings, it must have formed further out in the Solar System, where water ice would be able to freeze into chunks of ice. It's too warm around Venus, so that any water would be a gas or liquid.
Composition of the atmosphere
The next challenge that the atmosphere of Venus presents is its composition. It is made up of 96% carbon dioxide. Oxygen can not be detected even as a trace element. At the surface the atmospheric pressure is 92 times that of Earth.
Average temperature
864 degrees Fahrenheit
462 degrees Celsius

3 distinguishing characteristics of the planet
Venus and Earth are often called twins because they are similar in size, mass, density, composition and gravity.
