Dive into summer reading!
Readers grow by reading! Of all the activities in which you engage outside of school, time spent actually reading is the best predictor of reading achievement - the more you read, the better reader you become (Allington, 2006; Anderson, Wilson, and Fielding, 1988).
More than that reading is FUN! Reading lets you visit a new place, take an adventure into the unknown, explore an interesting topic, or learn something new. Dive into a good book!
Step 1: Find an interesting book!
